Report: Russia’s Novatek starts exports of LNG to Kuwait

MOSCOW, Oct 11 (PRIME) -- Russian independent gas producer Novatek has started exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Kuwait, Reuters reported on Thursday citing ship tracking data of Refinitiv Eikon.

The tanker with LNG from Russia’s Yamal came to Kuwait in mid-September after the launch of the Yamal LNG plant’s second stage, Reuters reported.

In April 2016, Russian media reported that Novatek was negotiating exports of Russian LNG to Kuwait with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. The Kuwaiti company planned to purchase up to 1.5 million tonnes of LNG from Russia per year, the agency reported.
